On Saturday, February 24, 2024, I had the privilege of spending the day in the Vendor Hall at the “For the Love of Children” Conference, hosted by the United Way of Greater Houston. This annual event brings together childcare professionals, community leaders, and passionate advocates who are dedicated to shaping the future of early childhood education.

Conversations That Matter

For me, the most meaningful part of the day was connecting with preschool owners who are starting to think about the next chapter of their journey. Many of the conversations I had centered around:

  • Legacy: Owners who want to ensure their school continues serving families and staff even after they step away.
  • Burnout: Leaders who love their mission but are feeling the weight of long hours, staffing challenges, and the never-ending hustle.
  • Retirement & Transition: Those who are ready to pass the torch and move into a new stage of life, but want to do it with dignity and clarity.

As a Child Care Sales Specialist, these are exactly the stories I’m here to support. Selling a school isn’t just a financial transaction—it’s about honoring years of work, protecting your team, and making sure your community keeps thriving.

A Fun Bonus

To add a little extra excitement, I gave away a door prize: access to my Transform Your Tours: Enrollment Course. This resource is designed to help owners and directors sharpen their enrollment process, boost conversion rates, and strengthen the financial health of their schools.

Looking Ahead

Events like this remind me that every preschool owner has a unique story—and a unique path to the future. Whether you’re preparing to sell, thinking about retirement, or simply curious about your school’s market value, know that there are resources, strategies, and support available to guide you through the process.

If you’re ready to start exploring what selling your school could look like, I’d love to be part of that journey with you.
